This page explains how to request deletion of your Preserve Cards account and its
cloud-backed-up data — whether or not you still have the app installed.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open Preserve Cards and go to Profile → Delete Account.
- Confirm the warning, then confirm your Google sign-in again when prompted (required for security before permanently deleting an account).
- Your account and cloud data are deleted immediately.
No longer have the app installed, or can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, subject "Delete my account," and we'll process it manually within 7 days.
What Gets Deleted
- Your account — the Google sign-in record tied to Preserve Cards is removed.
- Cloud-backed-up cards & photos — every scanned business card and photo stored in our Firestore database and Firebase Storage under your account.
- Groups, notes, and "My Cards" — all cloud copies of your organizing data and your own shareable card entries.
What's Not Affected
- Cards on your phone — anything stored only on-device is untouched; account deletion only removes the cloud copy. Uninstall the app separately to remove local data.
- Phone contacts — any contacts Preserve Cards previously added to your address book stay there; delete them manually from your Contacts app if you no longer want them.
- An active Pro subscription — deleting your account does not cancel billing; cancel separately from the Play Store's Subscriptions page.
We don't keep a copy of deleted account data beyond the time needed to process the request itself.
